Back to Back Undefeated Seasons!!

Recently, the Under 10 Boys team from the North Port Futbol Club completed their second consecutive undefeated season.  During the season, the team scored 85 goals while only allowing 14 goals against.  This is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects on the team's dedication and unselfish style of play exhibited by this group of boys.

The U7 North Port Lightning recently competed in a 3 V 3 tournament at Lakewood Ranch and finished Runner-up in their division. This was the second tournament that this team competed in and showed dramatic improvement as their finish indicates. Team members include: Aidan, Nicholas, Andrew and Tanner with special help from our player-coach, Steven. Keep up the great work boys!!

NORTH PORT Lightning U-7 Boys

North Port Lightning U7 boys team recently participated in the Venice Shark Tooth 3 v 3 Challenge tournament and performed well enough to qualify for the 3 v 3 National Tournament that will be held in Orlando August 1-3. This was the team's first 3 v 3 tournament and this is a great accomplishment for the team. Great job boys!

North Port Lightning recently competed in the Mid-Summer Classic 3 V 3 tournament held in Venice. Teams from Miami to Tampa participated in the two-day event. After suffering two straight losses to open the tournament, the team won the next six games to take the title. During the championship game, the game ended in an exciting 4-4 tie and even a heart-stopping sudden-death overtime was not enough to settle the contest.

Team members include: Andrew Syzonenko, Nicholas Renaud, Coach Bob Renaud, Zachary Fryar, Aidan Cannon and Coach John Cannon.

Nicholas Renaud and Aidan Cannon tallied goals during the penalty kick stage to defeat the previously undefeated Deco United team from Miramar.

Both parents and coaches were treated to an awesome display of soccer play and sportsmanship from the team. This was the team's first championship in only their third tournament. "What a great Father's Day gift boys!" .
