North Port FC U-12 Boys Region C Champs Division 2
The U-12 boys’ competitive soccer team has had a very successful year, to the say the least. For starters, they began with a pre season second place finish at the Halloween Havoc tournament in Bradenton. Next was the regular season in the United Soccer Association League which consisted of a 14 game schedule. The team finished in first place with a record of 13 wins and one loss, in which they scored 68 goals and allowed only 9. With that first place finish, they will move on to the top flight of youth soccer in the 1st division next season. Their latest achievement is their greatest yet. After competing in the Region C Cup, which has teams spanning from Naples to North Tampa, they placed better than 35 other teams to become Region C Champions. This mark is the best any North Port team has ever done in this tournament. This is a credit to the boys’ hard work and dedication to each other and to their sport. The road to the championship has been marked with many standout performances on both sides of the ball, offensively, defensively, and in goal tending. The players have taken huge strides this year, both in their individual growth, as well as, as a team. There is one more page to this story yet to be written; the Division 2 Cup finals, which will be held in Jupiter, FL, the 28th and 29th of March. The tournament is to determine the best team at the U-12 Division 2 level in the State of Florida. |
